Happy New Year! I see that I haven't written here since 2019 - yikes. I haven't been sick, luckily, though it's true that the after-effects of thyroid surgery in 2018 have come up more than once since then. This long period of the pandemic and social unrest has effected me to be sure, plus I've been swallowed up in a full-time job (which started in late 2019) and much activity with a local orchestra (as the board president). I definitely need to find more space for my writing.

Resolution: I will write more here in 2022, and post more for fun. Here's a start: just before Omicron hit, my wife and I managed to take a trip. See if you can guess where this picture was taken. I want to return there very much.
